As part of our State-of-the-Art (SOTA) curriculum, we believe in integrating science with the arts to provide our young learners with a holistic and immersive educational experience. In line with this, we recently organized an exciting excursion to Digital Light Canvas for our Nursery, Kindergarten One, and Kindergarten Two classes. This journey of exploration allowed the children to step into a world where art and technology merge seamlessly, fostering creativity and wonder.
A Nature-Inspired Adventure
Building on their prior knowledge of lines, shapes, and patterns from the SOTA curriculum, the children embarked on a nature-based adventure, immersing themselves in a fantastical paradise of pure light and color. The Digital Light Canvas is an interactive space where exotic flowers magically bloom under each footstep, offering a mesmerizing experience of movement, art, and technology.
Bringing Creations to Life
The adventure began with the children applying colors using crayons to outlined drawings of various animals. Each child poured their creativity into their artwork, carefully coloring and personalizing their chosen creatures. The excitement grew as their finished creations were scanned and digitized by the staff.
Once loaded into the system, the children's custom-created creatures came to life on the Digital Light Canvas. They watched in awe as their artwork transformed into moving, animated characters within the immersive space.
An Interactive Search for Their Masterpieces
The highlight of the learning journey was when the children stepped onto the platform, eagerly searching for their creations in the interactive landscape. With smiles and laughter, they ran across the glowing digital canvas, chasing after their digitally animated animals. This hands-on experience reinforced their understanding of how art and technology can intersect, transforming static images into dynamic, interactive works of art.

A Memorable Takeaway
Beyond just a fun excursion, this activity nurtured their creativity, reinforced key concepts from their SOTA curriculum, and demonstrated the boundless possibilities of digital art.
The Digital Light Canvas excursion was truly a magical experience, allowing our young learners to explore, create, and interact in a space where science meets art. We look forward to more such inspiring adventures that spark curiosity and innovation in our children!
