It is so easy for us to fixate on what people are not doing well in or what their areas of their improvement are. Yet, this magnifying glass reminds me to take a closer look at the strengths of my team. Each of them are individuals who, like our children, are capable of learning, growing and glowing too. When we take the time to pay attention to their strengths and encourage them, or help them grow, we empower them to do the same for the children.
I am also reminded to pay close attention to each of them as individuals so that I know their needs well and can care for them better.
