Our NDP Music Video '23: Shine Your Light

Updated: Oct 27, 2023

"Go, Shine Your Light upon the world!"

The hook "Go, Shine Your Light upon the world" is something we that we've been hearing a lot of on the radio and in malls. Beyond it being catchy, it emboldens us Singaporeans to share our joy and Singaporean spirit with others beyond borders. The song also reminds us that just like how Singapore, a little red dot has come so far in the past 58 years, that we as individuals can also dream big and achieve much if we believe in ourselves. It's a powerful message, especially for our little ones who are growing up, learning to be confident and thinking about becoming teachers, astronauts, doctors, , actors, marine biologists and more in the future! Here at PPS, to shine our light is very much a matter of the heart as well - to share kindness and love to those around us, just as Jesus has loved us. Jesus had instructed in Matthew 5:16,

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

In our music video this year, we share moments where children have shown love and care to their friends who are differently-abled. In PPS, we also encourage those who have added needs to be themselves and shine their light! Despite the daily challenges they face, they are always provided with opportunities to learn and participate meaningfully in class alongside their classmates. If you would like to support students under our Education Support Programme, please click here. Read encouraging stories of our ESP students here as well! We hope to make you smile with our rendition of "Shine Your Light", where both children and staff from Ang Mo Kio Centre, Pasir Ris 51 Centre and HQ joined in to share the joy and laughter!
